Union Station D.C. is a superbly restored, historic, mixed-use, intermodal transportation and shopping center located just blocks from the U.S. Capitol Building. Union Station D.C. is one of the most iconic destinations in Washington, D.C. Union Station D.C. is equipped with 3 levels of shopping and dining, a 4-level parking garage, and one of the most breathtaking historical spaces in the country.
The transportation hub and retail destination are visited by over 40 million people each year. The terminal is served by METRO, Amtrak, MARC, and VRE commuter railroads, and is the main bus terminal of Washington D.C. as well as a drop-off and pick-up center for many D.C. tour bus operators. Union Station D.C. has been serving as the gateway to the nation’s capital for over a century and has every intention of continuing to do so.

Food Court: Monday – Friday, 7AM – 9PM, Saturday 7AM – 9PM, Sunday, 7AM – 6PM

Please be advised that Union Station is closed to the public daily from 11PM to 5AM. During that time, the station will only be accessible to ticketed passengers.

Driving Directions
From The North (via I-95)
- Follow I-95 South toward Washington, D.C. to I-495 and exit East.
- Follow I-495 East to US Route 50 and exit West.
- Follow US Route 50, which becomes New York Avenue.
- Follow New York Avenue (West).
- Turn Left onto First Street, NE.
- Follow First Street approximately 12 blocks to Massachusetts Avenue.
- Turn left onto Massachusetts Avenue, NE, and travel one block to Columbus Circle.
- Union Station is on the Left.
From The South (via I-95 / I-395)
- Follow I-95 North toward Washington, D.C.
- I-95 becomes I-395 when you cross I-495. Continue North on I-395.
- Exit at Massachusetts Avenue.
- Turn Right onto Massachusetts Avenue (East).
- Follow Massachusetts Avenue approximately 4 blocks to Columbus Circle.
- Union Station is on the Left.
From The East (via US Route 50)
- Follow US Route 50, which becomes New York Avenue.
- Follow New York Avenue (West).
- Turn Left onto First Street, NE.
- Follow First Street approximately 12 blocks to Massachusetts Avenue.
- Turn left onto Massachusetts Avenue and travel one block to Columbus Circle.
- Union Station is on the Left.
From The West (via The Capital Beltway / I-495)
- Follow The Capital Beltway.
- Exit New Hampshire Avenue (South).
- Follow New Hampshire Avenue, which turns into North Capitol Street.
- Turn Left on Massachusetts Avenue.
- Follow Massachusetts Avenue 1 block to Columbus Circle.
- Union Station is on the Left.
From The West (via I-66)
- Follow I-66 East towards Washington, D.C.
- Exit US 50 (East).
- Turn Right on Pennsylvania Avenue.
- Turn Left on Constitution Avenue.
- Turn Left on Louisiana Avenue.
- Turn Right on Columbus Circle.
- Union Station is on the Left.
