Retail Associate (Union Station DC)

Overview

CHIBOO Bakery is looking to grow our team in Washington, DC. We are a small but agile team, providing thousands of handcrafted gourmet French macarons each month for our small retail shop, catering orders and pop-up events around the DMV. We pride ourselves in using premium ingredients, highlighting local sources from our farmer friends, and making unique flavors sustainably. Our team is looking for passionate and dedicated team platers who are eager to learn and grow rapidly with us!

Qualifications

Outstanding customer service skills
Valid Driver’s License or reliable transportation to work
Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment and promote our products to customers passionately
Be able to stand for extended periods of time
Ability to follow instructions closely and consistently, and to manage your time effectively
Highly developed communication skills
*** Preference to candidates who posess a valid Certified Food Protection Manager (CFPM) Certificate (please indicate in application)

Responsibilities

This position assists in set-up/breakdown, sales/distribution of products, and record keeping for our retail store
Maintain knowledge of all goods sold, such that you can thoughtfully discuss sourcing, ingredients, and recommendations with guests
Uphold and practice exceptional food safety and sanitation
Performs other duties as necessary
Comply with rules and regulations laid out by Union Station
Reliability: no call outs day-of and timeliness is a must
