Lost and Found

There are two ways to report an item lost within Union Station:


For items lost within Union Station, excluding Amtrak, Metro, VRE and MARC please fill out this form.


You can also report your lost item by phone. You may contact Security Dispatch, who manages Lost and Found at 202-289-8355 24 hours a day. The dispatcher will record the necessary information regarding your missing item.

Items found at Union Station are held for 30 days, and if not claimed, are donated to charity. If you are local and it is determined that your item is here, you may make arrangements to come and pick it up and will need to provide identification. If outside of the metro area and your item is found, we will happily ship it back to you, using your FedEx or UPS account number. Unfortunately, we cannot absorb the cost of shipping lost items.
