Union Station DC Meal Voucher Program 2017

The Union Station DC Meal Voucher Program is the station’s contribution to tourism. This program, which has been in existence for more than half a decade, has helped to feed and fuel the 17.4 million domestic visitors that come to the city each year. The Union Station Meal Voucher Program allows travelers to tour the city without the burden of carrying cash for their meals or wondering where to find a variety of dining choices in one location. Instead, these tourists present their voucher to one of the participating vendors here at Union Station while their motor coaches are waiting in the parking garage.

The Union Station Meal Voucher Program is one of the most utilized voucher programs in the city. The advancements that the program has made in technology have allowed it to become the only voucher program in the city to offer customers the option of purchasing online in mere minutes and self-printing their vouchers within hours. This is also the only program that allows the participating food vendors to redeem vouchers through the use of barcode scanners and mobile apps as opposed to stockpiling and mailing paper. The success of the Union Station Meal Voucher Program is not just its technological advancements; it is also driving the station to position itself as a tourist resource and retail destination.

In 2017 the meal vouchers will be priced at $9.75 for Lunch/Dinner Vouchers and $8.75 for Breakfast/Small Bites Vouchers.
